Restorative Yoga is a soothing and grounding combination of tension releasing stretches focused on hips and backs that have been doing too much sitting, yummy movement to free up your vital energy and restorative poses that will support a deep night’s sleep; wrapped up with a nice, long guided savasana to keep you feeling more connected to yourself, resilient to stress and free of you know what.
This practice is mostly done on the floor and is available to everyone, moving at your own pace. The class is structured so you can participate for 60 or 90 minutes. At the 60 minute mark, there will be an opportunity to transition out of the practice for those who only have an hour, need to put kids to bed, etc. Those who are able to stay on, will get to luxuriate in an additional 30 minutes of conscious relaxation that will yield a much higher payoff than one more episode on Netflix.vIf you’ve ever been to my Gentle Hatha class, Deep Release Restorative or Yoga for Pelvic Floor Awareness workshops, you will notice some common threads, along with a special cozy evening vibe.

Sliding scale: $10-$30
PROPS: I suggest having a stable chair nearby (not on wheels). If you don’t have a mat, be on a firm, non-slippery floor. If you don’t have a bolster, gather firm pillows and/or couch cushions. If you don’t have blocks, gather a couple of stacks of hardcover books, each about 6 inches tall. If you don’t have yoga blankets, gather firm, tightly woven blankets and or beach towels. If you don’t have a belt, gather an old tie, the belt from your bathrobe or some other kind of belt or rope that’s laying around. Something to cover your eyes at the end will be nice too!
