Britt’s Hatha classes are dynamic, nurturing, healing, and fun. Her unique style of teaching places a strong emphasis on alignment, sequencing, and breath guided movement, while her approach is imbued with natural warmth, playfulness and honesty. She encourages you to step out of your head, into your body and on a unique journey designed around who’s in class, what their needs and concerns might be and what’s in the air that certain day. You may sweat, you may relax. You may strengthen, you may release. You may find yourself in formal poses or you may end up in a free spirited, challenging flow. No matter what – you always find a refuge to replenish and grow.
Britt bases her classes on her belief that true strength is born from surrender, as she encourages her students to find a balance between effort and relaxation. Whether the focus is on fluid movement or therapeutic sequences, you can always expect to begin with time to settle into your body, feel your breath and move from the present experience of your body, mind and heart. Working from the inside out, Britt’s teaching encourages you to be good to your body, to be compassionate with yourself, to find balance and awareness both on and off of the mat.
Yogis of all ages, levels and body types will enjoy Britt’s clear instruction, relaxed pace, attention to detail and warm spirited approach to Hatha Yoga. Pregnant and post-partum women are welcome and will be given appropriate modifications.
